Patty, my wife, and I were married on 6-17-1967 and I reported into TBS July 1967. Patty was a school teacher when I met her.

Raised in Central Illinois and Northern Virginia, he was active in Boy Scouts earning Life Scout rank and the God and Country ribbon, worked as a Camp Waterfront Counselor and played trumpet in his high-school band.

Upon graduation from TBS in November of 1967, I attended artillery school at Fort Sill, OK, and then went to Vietnam in March or April of 1968.

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and went on to attend Ohio State University on an NROTC scholarship. I selected a Marine option with the intent of becoming a jet pilot.

Former US Marine officer, Vietnam combat veteran, active in veterans affairs, Don does commercial voice-overs (www.donbuzney.com) and was emcee for the Opening Ceremony for the New York City Veterans Day Parade,
